“Cate helped me re-evaluate and redesign my introductory course. We had begun the process before the pandemic, but her assistance, expertise, and support have proved essential in ways we never could have anticipated in January of 2020. Cate is exceptionally honest, responsive, and intuitive: she guided this process but always with my objectives and particular circumstances in mind, and she expertly improvised as demanded by ever-changing external conditions. She provided ample and always personalized resources, and I know that I will return to these in future iterations of the course. I begin this semester excited to teach an entirely redesigned, student-centered course, fully confident that I can handle those bumps in the road that are sure to arise, particularly in this very uncertain Fall 2020 semester. Asking Cate to work with me this year has been one of the best pedagogical decisions I’ve ever made. I’m an experienced and accomplished educator, but I still have much to learn, and I’m glad to have learned so much from Cate.”
